Everyday exposures
Cutting and drilling concrete or stone (silica), woodwork, diesel machinery, old asphalt and tar (PAHs): CMR agents are part of routine tasks.
Since July 2024, every French construction company must keep a list of its workers exposed to CMR agents such as crystalline silica or wood dust. With VB Safety, one sentence from the team leader is enough: the tool recognises the workers, the task, the duration and the protection, then keeps the list and individual records up to date.
Cutting and drilling concrete or stone (silica), woodwork, diesel machinery, old asphalt and tar (PAHs): CMR agents are part of routine tasks.
The exposed workers list and records are often filled in after the fact, from memory, when the risk assessment is updated.
Nature, duration and degree of exposure must be sent to the occupational health service and kept for decades.
No endless forms: what the team actually did, entered in one sentence, becomes a per-worker record.
Each task is linked to the CMR agents involved and given an indicative exposure level.
Documents built as tasks are entered, ready to send.

The team leader describes the task in one sentence, on their phone.
“Karim and Lucas, dry-cutting blocks 2 h, FFP3”The tool identifies the CMR agents involved and gives each worker an indicative exposure level.
The exposed workers list and individual records update automatically.
The chemical risk assessment is pre-filled; the employer validates it and adds it to the single risk assessment document.
Assess exposures, substitute where possible, reduce to the lowest technically possible level, inform and train workers.
Work exposing to respirable crystalline silica dust from work processes has been on the list of carcinogenic processes since 1 January 2021.
Read the order on Légifrance (FR)Successive versions of the single risk assessment document are kept for at least forty years.
Read the decree on Légifrance (FR)Up-to-date list of workers likely to be exposed, with the nature, duration and degree of exposure when known; kept for at least forty years by the occupational health service.
Read the decree on Légifrance (FR)No. It runs in the browser, on phone and computer.
No. It records tasks, durations, agents and protections. Medical follow-up stays with the occupational health service.
The first version covers common construction agents: crystalline silica, wood dust, diesel engine emissions and PAHs. Each version adds more.
Asbestos has its own regulatory regime (surveys, operating procedures, work monitoring). It is not covered by the first version.
The tools are currently in French, built on French regulation. Contact us if you work outside France.
