Contamination tracking for firefighters' fire kitPPE module

Track the contamination of your personal protective equipment (PPE, EPI in French) after every call-out.

Simple tracking of the use, contamination, cleaning and return to service of fire kit (jacket, trousers, fire hood, F1 helmet and fire boots), linked to the call-out reports in Carnet Expo CMR (CMR exposure record).

  • Reduce the risksLimit secondary exposure to CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic, reprotoxic) agents.
  • End-to-end trackingUse, contamination, cleaning, replacement.
  • Proof of traceabilityFor medical follow-up and prevention.

How does it work?

4 steps, from the fire to the stores

  1. 1Link to the call-outThe PPE worn is attached to the crew / incident commander (CA / COS) report in one click.
  2. 2Assess the contaminationLevel taken from the report: type of fire, role held, bagging on site.
  3. 3Record the cleaningDate, method (washing, desorption, drying), location or contractor.
  4. 4Return to serviceInspection, full history, alert before replacement.

Tracking that serves firefighters' health

Fire kit can be heavily contaminated with CMR agents: PAHs, benzene, dioxins, heavy metals, fine particles. Kit that is poorly cleaned or returned to service too early prolongs exposure. Recording its use and cleaning limits this secondary exposure and improves prevention.

Linked to Carnet Expo CMR

Same call-out report, same role-based access, same hosting in France. No double entry for the CA or the COS.

Which PPE is covered?
  • Fire jacketThe first barrier against smoke and soot.
  • Fire trousersExposed to the ground, overhaul and firefighting water run-off.
  • Fire hoodIn direct contact with the neck and face.
  • F1 helmetShell, visor and neck curtain loaded with soot.
  • Fire bootsSoot and firefighting water run-off brought back to the station.
Who does what

A clear workflow, no re-entry

CA / COS

Reports at the end of the call-out

Ticks the PPE bagged on site for each crew member, in the same contamination report.

PPE officer

Re-equips firefighters

Sees which firefighters need a kit change and records the change: the old kit goes off for washing.

PPE officer

Tracks the washing

Sent for washing, returned, back in stock, and the number of fires for each kit.

Automatic

Alert threshold

Kit that reaches the fire-count threshold set by the service appears in the replacements to be made.

Try the PPE module

A separate module, reserved for the PPE officer at each station: firefighters to re-equip, kit changes, washing and alert threshold. Designed with firefighters and clothing managers.
